IMPACT: Finding better ways to do business

Here are some examples of how CISCO Recall’s IMPACT initiative has helped us do a better, faster, smarter job for customers around the globe.

  • Team Members in Brazil used on-site management boards and daily tracking of their main operational activities to ultimately increase productivity by 20-percent.
  • Several Recall teams in North America worked together with customers to identify and destroy three million cartons that had been stored for more than 10 years without a destroy date or with an expired destroy date. This not only reduced liability and improved regulatory compliance for customers, it helped save them storage costs while providing an environmentally sustainable solution by sending the paper out for recycling.
  • Recall Europe has actively applied Kaizen principles in an effort to reduce waste, which was identified as anything that adds cost but does not create value. The IMPACT team estimates US $700,000 in annualized benefits as a result.
  • CISCO Recall Asia focused on courier productivity and service performance and as a result, eliminated the need for third party couriers. Today, customers have seen cost-savings and improved quality of service.
  • An IMPACT project in Australia and New Zealand resulted in merging nine forms into one. Now, customers have one sign off, less touch points and a more efficient audit trail.
